Mansfield City Council To Consider Strong Penalties For Litter, Trash

Mansfield City Council, next week, will discuss updating two ordinances, which could mean stronger penalties for laws regarding grass, litter and trash.

RichlandSource.com reports, the change to the height of grass and weeds on properties in town, which is currently 10 inches, but if approved, would change to 6 inches. Also, they will look at adding a $200 fee when the city has to come in and clean up a property, along with other current fees in the ordiance.

Mansfield Community Development and Housing Director, Adrian Ackerman, said, those are the number one things they get complains about in the summer time.
