Dangerously Cold: Two Mansfield Warming Shelters Open This Weekend

Richland County EMA Director, Rebecca Owens, said, two warming shelter's will be open for the next week, as frigid and dangerously cold temperatures have arrived in the area. High winds are making for extremely cold temps. Below is information on the two warming shelter's that will be open in Mansfield.

Warming Shelter Information For January 19th - 22

378 Park Ave. West, Mansfield

7am-7pm ( Friday and Saturday)

Food, hats, gloves

Thermometer on snow shows low temperatures - zero. Low temperatures in degrees Celsius and fahrenheit. Cold winter weather - zero celsius thirty two farenheit

The Salvation Army

47 S. Main St., Mansfield

7pm-7am - Friday through Monday

Cots, pillows, blankets

Guests must bring their own food

Doors locked 9pm

 

After 9pm, police escort

If no guests have arrived by 9pm shelter will close
