Tyger Defense: 3 INT's, Records 5th Safety In Playoff Win Over Lexington

The Mansfield Senior defense continued to shine on Friday night, as the TYgers beat OCC rival Lexington, 30-13, in the 1st round of the high school football playoffs.

Mansfield Senior had 3 interceptions in the game and recorded their 5th safety of the year. Senior High was led by Maurice Bradley with 15 tackles, 2 sacks and 2 TFL's. Bradley and Symirr Phillips both sacked the QB in the end zone for the safety. Phillips has 12 tackles. a half sack and 1 TFL.

Mansfield Senior had 3 rushing TD's, 120 total yards on the ground. Senior was led by Jamir Petty with 64 yards rushing, 1 TD and made a HECK of a catch out of the backfield for a big 1st down. Duke Reese ran the ball well at QB and found the end zone too.

The Tyger Defense over the last 6 weeks - has allowed no more than 1 TD in any game. Mansfield Senior (9-2) has won 8 straight and will host Rocky River (10-1) in the 2nd round of the playoffs on Friday, November 3rd at Arlin Field.
