Record inflation has saw prices on nearly every single item go up and that trend. has saw Richland County Sales Tax revenue, decline, for the 3rd straight month, compared to the same time frame in 2022.
Commissioner, Tony Vero, said, June of this year,2023, was 6.6% less than in 2022 and July of 2023, was 1.3% worse than a year ago.
Vero said, Sales tax revenue makes up between 55-60% of the Richland County General Fund.
