Being selected as s hosting site is significant and we applaud the Mansfield Liederkranz for continuing to spotlight German heritage for our area. We’re also pleased for the economic impact and opportunity to showcase our area attractions, hotels, and restaurants to groups from across the country.

What is a Treffen (Landestreffe) you ask? It is the annual get together of all the North American Donauschwaben Dance groups. Donauschwabens are the German descendants who settled in the Danube River valley in the 1800’s. They meet every year at a Donauschwaben member site. This year they are coming to the Liederkranz!
