Roads Closed In Ashland County, Few People Rescued, Due to Flooding

Heavy rain in North Central Ohio Thursday forced several roads to be closed in Ashland County and a couple people, who attempted to drive into flooded roadways, had to be rescued.

No injuries were reported, according to RichlandSource.com.

The Ashland County Sheriff reported multiple trees down, some blocking the roadway, along with an unoccupied vehicle stuck in the water on State Route 89 around 5 a.m.

A portion of 4 roads, London East, London West, Champion and Mount Zion, were closed in Richland County, according to engineer, Adam Gove.  Richland County EMA reported high water at Ohio 13 and US 30, along with the subway on Ashland Road.
