Emergency crews this week in Mansfield responded to a vehicle that was on fire.

The SUV is considered a total loss, according to Mansfield Fire Chief, Steve Strickling. He said, the vehicle was unoccupied and nobody was injured during the incident, which took place Wednesday morning just before 7 a.m.

The Mansfield Fire Department said, the flames were close to spreading near an occupied apartment building on Jennings Ave, which saw the heat actually break a window. No other damage was done. Fire investigators were called to the scene and the incident is under investigation.
