Mansfield City Council Talks About $500,000 Technology To Help Fire Dept

Mansfield City Council plans to vote in June on new technology for the Fire Department, which will allow them to respond quicker to an emergency call.

RichlandSource.com reports, the new system, Path Master, uses GPS and helps turn traffic lights green as the fire truck makes it way to a scene more efficiently.  The cost for the equipment is just over $509,000, which would see some covered by ARPA funds.   Right now, the Fire department uses older technology, which uses line of sight technology to change a traffic light.
