The Richland County Commissioners have approved just over $350,000 to purchase 4 new vehicles for the Richland County Sheriff’s office.

According to RichlandSource.com, the Commissioners actually put aside $450,000 last year for the purchase during budget talks.

The money is coming from the county’s lost revenue portion of American Rescue Plan Act.   The funds will buy 4 Interceptor Utility Vehicles from the Ford Motor Company.  Right now, Richland County has around $13 million ARPA dollars remaining. The county received a total of $23 million due to the pandemic.
