Ashland County Engineer: Maintenance Projects Costing More Due to Inflation

Ashland County Engineer, Ed Meixner said, inflation is the reason for higher prices for 3 county wide annual projects.

According to RichlandSource.com, the bids were for pavement markings, asphalt concrete and liquid asphalt materials.   The lowest bid on materials came back, $24,000 more than last year, while the cost for pavement markings was $34,000 more, than in 2022. Ashland County is looking over the bids and plans to pave 18 miles of roadway this year.
