More details are being released about the shooting at a Morrow County gas station, where two people died.
Morrow County Sheriff John Hinton said, during the investigation it was learned a man from Columbus, allegedly, attempted to steal a car on the off ramp of State Route 61 and I-71,which resulted in shots being fired at the car.
The man went then into the gas station and attempted to steal a mini-van that was pumping gas. Shots were fired and a female victim, from South Carolina, was struck and died at the scene. The man from Columbus, then shot at a man driving a U-Haul, who returned fire. The suspect from Columbus died at the scene of a gunshot wound.
The incident, which happened just before 7 pm Sunday night, remains under investigation.
