Shelby Scores 51 In 2nd Half, Wins School Record 4th Straight League Title

The Shelby Whippets boys basketball team on Friday clinched a share of the MOAC championship with a 76-63 win at home over Clear Fork. This marks a new school record for the most consecutive years winning a league title. It was not easy, as Clear Fork played very well and led 31-25 at halftime. Shelby, however, outscored the Colts 51-32 in the 2nd half to move to 17-2 and can win the outright league crown with a win at Ontario on Friday. Alex Bruskotter led Shelby with 23 points, 9 rebounds and a couple of blocks. Brayden Devito hit some huge 3's in the 2nd half to finish with 17 points and Issaiah Ramsey chipped in 11 points and the play of the night with a one handed dunk on the baseline that got the crowd - all kind of excited. Clear Fork junior Grant Spencer scored a game high 27 points for the Colts. (Aired 2/10/23)
