In Ashland County, the Engineer and Commissioners are happy and relieved after 3 construction projects saw bids come back lower than the estimated cost.

According to RichlandSource.com, repairs to a bridge on county road 555 came back nearly $40,000 under the estimate,  the cost for a demolition of the bridge in Perrysville was more than $30,000 less than originally thought and the price to seal 55 miles of roadway in the county saw the lowest bid at $28,000 under the estimate.

Ashland County Engineer, Ed Meixner will review the bids and get recommendations to the Commissioners sometime this week.
