Mansfield City Schools BOE Votes To Close Prospect Elementary

The Mansfield City Schools Board of Education voted this week to close Prospect Elementary.

RichlandSource.com reports, the move is expected to save the district around $400,000 dollars and beginning next year will see Prospect merge with Woodland and 3rd grade students at Woodland, Prospect and Sherman will all be moved to Malabar beginning next school year.

Officials in the district closing Prospect after this year because of the condition and age of the facility.
