Meal Prices Rising At Richland County Jail Due To Inflation

The cost of meals at the Richland County Jail are going up due to inflation.

RichlandSource.com reports, the County Commissioners have approved a one year renewal with the Trinity Services Group to provide meals for inmates, which will see the cost jump nearly 6%.

The estimate is around 625 meals per day, which would cost the county close to $427,000. The Richland County Jail this week has 160 inmates, which is down from just over 190 each of the past few months.
