The Mansfield City Schools will not hold classes next week in what Superintendent Stan Jefferson is calling “the Tyger Wellness Week.”

The District was scheduled to have classes on Monday and Tuesday before breaking for the Thanksgiving holiday, but will now use calamity days for Monday and Tuesday.

Jefferson said many of the staff and nurses are exhausted, due to a shortage in substitutes. He said this time is meant to relax, unplug and visit with family before coming back for 3 weeks prior to the Christmas break.
