Lucas Schools Talk About Options For New Facilities Or Improvements 

The Lucas Schools Board of Education discussed options at this week’s meeting, which could see improvements made or construction of new facilities. 

According to RichlandSource.com, the district could continue with standard maintenance, renovated the high school or construct a new K-12 school building. 

Lucas would receive state funding if they choose to build a new school. 

The original part of the high school was built in 1910 and other in 1930. 

Superintendent Brad Herman said the building is safe and well maintained. Herman saying, right now they are in the doing their homework phase of the options in front of them for the district.
