Garbage pickup and collection zones were discussed this week by Mansfield City Council.
President David Falquette says talks took place with local trash haulers to get feedback on the legislation. Council is looking into dividing the city into 5 sections, so trash would only be collected 1 day per week in people’s neighborhoods. Falquette says this would help keep Mansfield looking nice and only have trash on the curb in an area of town once a week. Council could vote on the matter as early as April 20th.
