Shelby 47 Active COVID-19 Cases, 8 New In Last 28 Hours

The Shelby City Health Department is reporting COVID-19 activity over the past 28 hours with 8 new cases and 4 recovered/resolved cases. The Department has documented a total of 195 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in March. Of that cumulative number, 147 individuals have attained recovered/resolved status as of this report. The Department is currently monitoring 47 active cases with 46 individuals self-isolating in home quarantine and 1 individual hospitalized. There has been 1 COVID-19 death documented within the City of Shelby.

Citizens are strongly urged to observe all COVID-19 protocols and Health Department guidelines, including: frequent hand washing, sanitization, physical/social distancing, and the wearing of face coverings.
