Commissioners Approve $47,000 For Road Safety Study Along Lex-Springmill

The Richland County Commissioners Tuesday gave the OK for a safety study to be done along Lexington-Springmill road.

RichlandSource.com reports the study will cost just shy of $48,000 and will go from the northern edge of the village of Lexington north to Marion Avenue road.90% of the cost will be covered by a grant from the County Engineers Association of Ohio. The study will be done by a Columbus firm and should be complete by the end of next summer (2021).

Several intersections along the road have seen an increase in crashes, which could see possible additions of turn lanes, traffic signals or roundabouts.
