A ceremony was held recently in front of the Richland County Courthouse for family members of service members, who have lost a loved one.
The Gold Star Family Memorial Monument was dedicated last fall and around 50 people attended the ceremony last weekend. The service, which Chairman Jared Smith hopes becomes an annual one, saw a wreath put on the monument, along with the playing of Taps.
