Install of Mansfield's New Water Meter's On Hold Due to Covid-19

The city of Mansfield's Water Meter replacement plan, which was scheduled to have new meter's installed this spring, has been put on hold, due to the coronavirus.

Council President Cliff Mears said packets went out to people's homes, but the initial plan of installing in some homes in April and the big roll out in May, will be pushed back due to COVID-19.

Last year, Mears told WMAN News, Mansfield pumps over 9 million gallons of water a day, but was billing for just under 4 million.

Mansfield is losing $100,000 in revenue per month with the old meter's.
