The Mansfield School Board this week discussed safety options for the district at its meeting. One of the option is adding Rapid Barricade Door switches. The lock keeps unwanted people out of rooms by rotating a swinging lock. The total cost is not yet known, but a figure should be known by the Spring. RichlandSource.com reports that at one time there was talk about installing a security system for the entire district, which had a price tag of $500,000.
