On Friday, Central Ohio Medical Textiles known as COMTEX had their grand opening and ribbon cutting of their Ashland location. Test for the new equipment hiring, training of staff and receiving product deliveries at the facility began back in November. The facility services not only their laundry needs, but also those of other hospitals across Ohio. COMTEX is governed by a board of directors made up of members of both Mount Carmel Health System and OhioHealth. The 20-million-dollar facility is located at 1 COMTEX Way in Ashland. This is their second location in Ohio.
