The Ashland County Commissioners approved spending $26,000 on 40 body cameras and required software, for the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, $12,000 of which will be reimbursed. According to richlandsource.com, Ashland County Sheriff’s Office could begin implementing the use of body cameras before the end of the year. The cameras are expected to go into service as soon as a storage system for the videos is in place and tested.
