The director of the Wooster, Ashland Regional Dispatch Center is resigning effective October 5th, according to RichlandSource.com. Nancy Jewitt has been director since last fall, but says she has found it difficult to find a balance between her beliefs, the political environment and managerial styles within the city of Wooster. Taking over Jewitt’s role will be Wooster Fire Chief Barry Saley. Ashland officials have begun talks to possibly rejoin the Ashland County 9-1-1 dispatch Center, which run by the Ashland County Sheriff Office.
