A standoff ended peacefully in Ashland on Tuesday after a man threatened to harm himself at the hospital. RichlandSource.com reports the man began making threats to harm himself at University Hospitals Samaritan Health Center on Mifflin Avenue around 11 a.m. The man left and went into a home on Liberty Street before Authorities talked him into coming out of the house around 2:30 pm. It is believed the man did have a gun inside the home. Ashland Schools took precaution and rerouted their buses from the area. The incident remains under investigation.
