Visit Richland Soil & Water Conservation District

While at the Richland County Fair, visit with the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District. Richland SWCD, volunteers and USDA-NRCS personnel will be at the Nature Park Monday through Friday, August 6 to 10 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Follow the green leaves to the Nature Park and look for the large wooden signs. Learn what happens to rainfall on different land uses by watching live demonstrations of The Rainfall Simulator. Enter the Tree Contest for a chance to win a leaf blower, a cedar bird house or a camp chair donated by Meijer. You can also learn about the benefits of trees and how trees tell time. Partner organizations Richland County Park District -Gorman Nature Center; Richland County Master Gardeners; Kim Hildreth, Program Coordinator, City of Mansfield Engineering Department; Richland County Solid Waste Management Authority; Richland Area Beekeepers Association and ODNR-Division of Wildlife will also have displays and information available in the Nature Park Building. Building hours are 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.  Enjoy a nature or conservation program on the Nature Park stage Monday through Friday at 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. and live music Sunday through Saturday at 7:00 p.m. All programs and entertainment are free with admission to the Fair.
