Mansfield Man Arrested in Drug Raid

The METRICH Task force executed two drug related search warrants on Thursday, June 28, in Mansfield. The first search warrant was served at 264 E. First St. just before 7 a.m. The second search warrant was served at a storage unit. METRICH detectives seized 188 fake Oxycodone pills that are suspected to contain Fentanyl, 2 handguns, assorted drug paraphernalia and $750.00 in cash. METRICH detectives arrested and charged 28 year old Akeem Tubbs with counts of Drug Trafficking, Possession of Drugs and Weapons While under Disability.

METRICH Commander Lt. Joseph D. Petrycki stated “this investigation was a response to overdoses related to the use of suspected fake Oxycodone tablets and would like to thank the individuals in the community who provided information that assisted in the investigation” and “that METRICH will continue to target suspected drug dealers in the community, especially those that are selling Fentanyl.” Citizens can call the METRICH Crime Tip Hotline at 419-52-CRIME (419-522-7463) or the Task Force line at 419-755-9728.
