Shelby Officers Acted in Self- Defense in Tiro Shooting

A Crawford County grand jury has ruled the two Shelby police officers that were involved in the shooting near Tiro in late February, acted in self- defense. . The fatal shooting of 27 year Aaron Fike, took place in Crawford County on Feb. 26th and was under investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation. RichlandSource.com reports, Crawford County Prosecutor Matt Crall said the grand jury decision was unanimous that the officers acted reasonably under the circumstances. Fike shot at a highway patrol trooper and refused to drop his weapon before being shot by officers.
