Amanda Sheets chosen to lead NC State’s Crawford Success Center

North Central State College has announced the appointment of Amanda Sheets as the Operation Manager for the Crawford Success Center.


Sheets comes to Bucyrus from the Hillsborough County School District in Tampa, Florida, where she held numerous positions including teacher, program and curriculum specialist and administrator. In her roles with Hillsborough County, she maintained relationships and grew collaborative partnerships with countless leaders locally and throughout the state of Florida. She led numerous teams through the process of opening a new school, and helped grow that facility to capacity.

Prior to her work in Hillsborough County, Amanda held positions in leadership and education in Illinois, Indiana and Arkansas.

Sheets has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from St. Leo’s University.

About The Crawford Success Center 

Located at 130 N. Walnut Street in Bucyrus, the Crawford Success Center encompasses more than 7,000 square feet of space which provides versatile spaces for student learning and community engagement. These facilities include classrooms, computer labs, small group study areas, additional lab areas, and offices.

The Crawford Success Center serves as a connection point for students from Crawford and surrounding counties, and is the first institution of higher education in Crawford County. The Center is the result of the vision of the Crawford County Partnership for Education and Economic Development, one of the key components of the 20/20 Vision project, and the result of countless hours of planning, fundraising, and hard work on the part of community leaders.
