Missing Shelby teenager Sam Baker was found late Monday night just outside of Amarillo Texas. Shelby Police say that the 17 year old was picked up by a Texas Trooper along with an uncharged adult male and no firearm was in the vehicle. Shelby Schools, along with the Pioneer Career and Technology Center were back open on Tuesday.
The schools closed as a precaution on Monday, after it was discovered that a firearm went missing from the students home.Shelby Police chief Lance Combs says his force and other local law Enforcement worked their tails off on the case, as some officers spent 16 hours in the search for the missing teen. Arrangements have been made to pick Sam Baker and get him safely home.
